BHANGRA
DANCERS
The
folk dance of punjab 'bhangra'
is fusion of music and dance which originates
from the Punjab region of India and
Pakistan. It began as a folk dance conducted
by Punjabi farmers in 11th century to
celebrate the coming of the harvest
season or vaisakhi as its known. Our
bhangra dancers put an outstanding,
vibrant & energetic show in there
fully traditional & colourful costumes.
The dancers perform on profesionally
choreographed bhangra sequences and
are a must for any big or small
function.
DHOL
PLAYERS
The dhol is a
drum that dates back to the 15th century.
It was probably introduced to the Indian
subcontinent via the Persian drum type
dohol. The sound of traditional Indian
drums is a must to add the ambiance
of any occasion. Oorja's talented Dholis
add the perfect beat to your house warming,
birthday party, sangeet or wedding function. |
